Genevieve Schultz Dahlin, of East Syracuse, 91, died at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born in Syracuse, she grew up on the North Side and Graduated from Assumption School. She was a loving mother, caretaker and homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Genevieve also enjoyed trips to the health spa and casino, as well watching horse racing. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 2007.
Left to cherish her memory are her 11 children, Eric (Debra), Linda Valette, Valorie (Bill) Heppeler, JoAnn Henson, Patrick “Britt” (Patty), Pam Probst, Judith (Mark) Bonnett, Marguerite (Jack) Tuttle, Marcia (Bill) Bowhall, Marybeth McMillan and Michael; 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home, 6530 Schepp's Corners Road, Minoa. Prayer services will begin on Thursday at the funeral home at 9:15 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Assumption Church, 812 North Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13208. Burial will follow at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Assumption Church or CNY Autism Society of America, 4465 East Genesee Street, PMB 252, DeWitt, NY 13214.
