Obituary for Michael John Brown

Michael J. Brown, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday with his family at his side. He was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School and worked as an electrician for the IBEW Local 43. He was a member of the St. Regis Mohawk Nation, coach of women’s lacrosse at F-M, and enjoyed golf and fishing. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. His greatest love was his family, especially his daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathleen Hahn Brown; and daughters, Rebecca Brown of Fayetteville, Emily Hunt (Ryan) of Virginia and Sarah Hunt (Brian) of Fayetteville. He was “Grampy” to Teagan, Audrey, Zoe, Ethan and Declan. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Brown (Sue) of Tennessee; cousin, Katherine Moran of Fayetteville; nieces Kimberly and Samantha; and many cousins.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:30 pm Friday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A service will follow the calling hours.
