Condolence: Sending love and peace to all the Heitzmans. Your mom--your *family*!--was such an important part of the “Downes girls and Ed’s” childhood. So many great memories of childhood visits (to your house and camp), of time after school and on weekends spent with always-kind Karen, and--later--of sharing the undergrad experience at LeMoyne with BC, when I was lucky enough to know her as a classmate and when I could start to appreciate why my mom so much enjoyed the many coffee visits from BC. Gee, there were sooo many points of intersection, from multiple generations, shared by our two famiiies. . . a thousand memories, all of them sweet.
