Obituary for William D. Chapman

William D.  Chapman
William D. Chapman, 67, of Hamilton, formerly of Manlius, passed away Saturday night, January 30, 2016.
Born in Syracuse on September 28, 1948, he was the son of William D. and Grace Chapman. He attended Fayetteville Manlius High School. Bill worked as a greens keeper at Cavalry Club and was an industrial worker for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. Bill’s greatest joy was being with his family and dogs.
He is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Ed and Carl Chapman; and sister, Eva Scanlon. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Holly Chapman; son, William D. Chapman III; three sisters, Evelyn Carpenter, Martha (Charles) Starowitz and Roberta (Ted) Davis; several nieces, nephew and cousins; and many friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 5, 2016 at 6pm at the Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. Calling hours will be Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 6pm prior to the service. In honor of Bill please wear his favorite color, camouflage.
