The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Carol Gilligan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

How we know Carol

I was a young woman who left college to travel in Europe for a while and when I got back I needed a job.

Mother and Sister advised me to go to NJ Bell.  I was selected to be a service rep.  Carol was my

instructor.  She also became a good friend. By an odd twist of circumstances Carol had the most

imprint on my adult life by introducing me to my husband Douglas of now 52 years.

I was always so struck by Carol's elegance and charm.

When she met John we got to know and love him so much.

Then when she had Patrick the joy he brought to both Carol and John was always so evident whenever

I would call her to chat.

To have the love of a husband and a son in one's life is such a  blessing and bounty. And then of course

the marriage of Patrick and the over abundance of his wife and the grandchildren they gave life and love to is not something that every gets to have in their lives.

To all who knew and loved Carol and her family  Remember the good times as I 'm sure there were more of those------------------

Peace and love to all who knew and shared a bit of Carol.

Love,

Helen and Douglas Pluciennik

Cape Cod Ma.
